In order to create a trauma-informed world, where we acknowledge the experience of those who may survive traumatic experiences. When someone has lived through trauma, the way they experience and relate in the world changes. Some of the common relational effects may include:

a) less likely to share with vulnerability & authenticity

b) more prone to emotional outbursts

c) unable to connect to healthy empathy or boundary setting and maintenance.



THE MATERIAL WILL INCLUDE:

  • Defining Trauma and abuse

  • The experience of a traumatized person – mental/emotional, physical, relational, existential

  • Relationship as the crucible for recovery

  • Expanding awareness – cultivating empathy & compassion to transform our interpersonal experience
